Sydney's Travel Guides for Kids Offers New Kid's Guide to Florence, Italy
New kid's guide provides introduction to Florence sights and history including artists and scientists of the Renaissance.

Kingwood, Texas (February 5, 2010)-- Author and artist Sydney Svagerko was awarded a Bronze Artistic Merit Award by the East End Park - Kingwood in the 2010 Student Photo Competition. Sydney received recognition from Guy M. Sconzo, Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools for Humble I.S.D. following the award. Dr. Sconzo stated "you clearly value the beauty in nature around you and have a genuine talent for photography. Thank you so much for representing yourself, your family, and in turn representing your school and the district so exceedingly well!". Kingwood, Texas (January 21, 2010)-- Author and artist Keith Svagerko was awarded First Place at the Kingwood Art Society's Annual Fall Competition in the Drawing, non-professional category. Keith also received Third Place in the Oil Painting, non-professional category.

Sydney was invited to attend the Humble ISD “Peace, Love, Books” Children’s Book Festival January 30, 2010 at Creekwood Middle School as a V.I.P. There was a book fair, face painting, storytelling, art activities, books in song and other activities. Several authors attended the event to answer questions, sign their books and talk about writing.
